just another european country
The Goddess of Liberty, which stands on the artificial Tokyo island of Odaiba, was presented to Japan by France as recognition of something that no one recalls or cares about. For the Japanese, it serves to motivate them in their quest to be recognized as a “normal European country.”
Four prints made from the same 35mm negative using different paper textures, exposures, bleach outs and sepia toning. Unfortunately, to preserve the wonderful sepia, some of these haven’t been fixed, which means the images will eventually fade and disappear. Such is life.
